In previous versions, you could run a report to show all software on all computers and group by machine, user, or title. From version 2.5.1 of MetaLAN Administrator the report was not included because the report can return a very large result set depending on the number of software installations in the database.
Included software reports are:
- Install Count - All Software Titles
- Installs by Computer
- Installs by Computer - Deleted
- Installs by License
- Installs by Software Title
- Installs by User
If these reports are not sufficient and you need a report that will show all software installations in one report you can download the report and add it. Warning this report can return a very large amount of data and may take some time to run. To add the report follow these steps:
- Download this file: www.hammer-software.com/download/metalan-patches/Installs%20-%20All%20Software.rpt
- Copy the file to the MetaLAN Reports folder. Defualt location - "C:\Program Files\Hammer Software\MetaLAN Administrator 2\Reports"
- Start MetaLAN Administrator
- Click Reports in the left menu
- Under "Report Category" select "Software"
- Under "Report Name" select "Installs - All Software"
- Click "Run Report"
