Event Log
MetaLAN Server records a log off all significant events encountered during each network scan. The event log is useful for troubleshooting issues with the network scan and general operation of MetaLAN Server.
Exporting the Event Log
It may be useful to export the event log for troubleshooting purposes. Right click in the event list window to see the options for exporting the event log (see screenshot below). The entire event log can be exported using the "Export to CSV" or "Export Log (Native format)" options. Additionally a selection can be copied using the "Copy Selected" option, the selection can then be pasted into a spreadsheet of text file for later reference.
Event Log Settings
The size and detail level of the logging can also be adjusted. Under "Scan Settings" the the max event log size can be set and also debug logging can be enabled or disabled. Debug logging is disabled by default and is not usually required for everyday troubleshooting.
