Issue

VNC remote control session does not work or works intermittently. The installation and uninstallation of the VNC service takes a long time. The VNC viewer cannot connect to the target computer.

Cause

There may be several causes for this issue such as a very slow network connection. This issue can also be caused by the Windows Firewall. The issue can occur when the Windows Firewall does not have the Predefined incoming "Remote Service Management" rule enabled.

Resolution

Enable the Windows Firewall Predefined incoming "Remote Service Management" rule on the Domain Profile for all computers that need to be controlled by MetaLAN.
